Since it was founded in 1963, the aircargo club deutschland (acd) has been committed to promoting air freight traffic in Germany. Above all, the acd focuses on incorporating all players and institutions involved in the air freight process. Around 200 senior company representatives from the air freight industry with Germany-wide or international responsibility are represented in the acd and use the interest and discussion platform for a continuous exchange of ideas.

Air freight has become an indispensable part of the global logistics chain. Although it represents only a comparatively small segment of international goods transport measured in terms of the total volume at two percent, it accounts for around one third of the corresponding value of goods. It links industry and trade and is regarded as the engine of the world economy which depends on the smooth flow of goods.
